Bellevue recognizes elder abuse on television
The City of Bellevue recognizes elder abuse issues on Channel 21 every Tuesday at Noon, 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. In the month of June, they celebrate World Elder Abuse Awareness Day sponsored by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse. They consider elder abuse a public health and human rights issue.
The City has an Aging Services Department and can be reached at 425-452-4200 or visited on their website at www.bellevuewa.gov. Additional senior information for King County can be found at www.seniorservices.org
If you have an elderly friend or loved one that is neglected or abuse, contact the State Protective Services hotline at 1-866-END-HARM of your local police department. If you need more help, contact an experienced Elder Abuse attorney.
